About Helsa

Based in Brighton, Helsa Townsend is currently working in education and has been a musician for over 20 years.
During their undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire they undertook a pedagogy module in which they achieved a First Degree mark.

Alongside being a singer and teacher Helsa is an avid cellist and songwriter, and is confident teaching in any of these areas, as well as Grade 5 music theory.

Helsa especially welcomes any inquiries from those underrepresented in the arts, such as students from working class backgrounds and neurodiverse/disabled students, and is always happy to have discussions around pricing if this is a barrier to entry.

Please send Helsa a message to find out more!
