I did 10 lessons with Harrison starting as a complete beginner. My main goal was avoiding bad habits early on - I'd previously quit cello due to hand pain, so proper technique mattered a lot, and Harrison delivered on that. He's also very responsive: quick replies, easy rescheduling, accommodated my need for evening slots, and answered questions over text between lessons. He wrote up notes after every lesson in a shared Google Doc, so I always had something to refer back to. The highlight was that he tailored lessons to my music taste - he took a list of songs I like and used them to teach power chords, barre chords, 7th chords, and more. I now know a wide range of techniques and can confidently teach myself new songs. Highly recommend Harrison - kind, skilled, and a genuinely effective teacher.

Harrison is a very capable and responsive teacher. We discussed my objectives and he immediately devised a process to reach them and avoided just giving general instruction. He came up with some great ideas for developing my playing to help me play my songs more effectively. I will definitely continue lessons with him.

Harrison has been great since I have started the journey to learn the guitar. As a beginner he has been amazing to tailor the lessons to keep them both engaging and informative. He offers a very well structured set of notes after every lessons, which has given me direction and motivation to practice each week. He is very knowledgable about the guitar and music in general and has taught me many fundamentals which are vital to my development. He is clear, knowledgable and very easy to get along with!
