About Grace Tracy
{Not currently taking any new pupils}
Are you looking for a kind, welcoming and encouraging music teacher? Look no further... Classically trained as an opera singer at the Royal Northern College of Music, I have worked with some of the world’s best singers. I also teach clarinet and recorder to Grade 8 level and above.
I am a qualified music teacher with a PGCE in secondary education (QTS Status) and has a passion for teaching music theory.
I teach a range of styles but specialise in classical/opera singing, songs from musicals, clarinet core repertoire and baroque recorder.
As a passionate educator, I always works closely with her pupils to ensure they’re progressing well through their studies but most importantly, making music they love!
YOUR FIRST LESSON:
- All the lessons I teach are remote (online) lessons. This means you can still have your lessons, even if you’re at home, still in school or somewhere different each week!
- Although I am available at most time slots to suit you, after school lessons and evening/night lessons work best for a lot of my pupils! Saturdays are also always a good choice! Please do message me to choose your lesson time!
- I always use the first lesson to get to know you and your musical style. I love teaching a variety of music and can definitely find a song or piece to get you playing or singing right away.
- Vocal and instrument health is always important so we take a small part of each lesson to warm up and talk about how you’re feeling.
DEVELOPING YOU:
- Develop confidence both on and off stage through your music lessons with me.
- Work through a range of repertoire to greater improve your portfolio.
- Develop your overall musicianship with listening practice and discussions about theory and harmony.
- I encourage my pupils to analyse their music both through the poetry of the songs or the written manuscript and discuss what it may mean to them.
MORE ABOUT GRACIE:
I have worked with pupils with a range of needs both in and out of the classroom, so am very comfortable working with Pupils with SEND.
Recent performances include:
La Traviata
Sour Angelica
The Pilgrims Progress
RNCM Chamber Choir Manchester concert series
Manchester video game choir
