About Grace

Hello! My name is Grace and I am an actor and secondary drama school teacher, who also teaches flute and alto saxophone to all abilities! I teach drama to children ages 11-18 at GCSE and A Level every day, and I would love to share my passion for music with students looking to learn something new, express their creativity, develop a skill, or just to have fun! Whether you are interested in working towards ABRSM or Trinity grades, or just want to learn how to play Taylor Swift, I would love to help you achieve your goals.

I am a kind, warm and friendly teacher, and I use methods that suit the student's learning style, not my own. This means I tailor each lesson to the strengths of the student, structuring the lesson carefully so that nobody throws their instrument out of the window in frustration. I believe in hard work and practice, but also in the importance of passion and love for music. I hope to access this passion within each and every one of my students - once I have, I know I have done my job. I teach children ages 8 and up, and I also offer adult lessons for those of us looking to start something new or refresh old skills.

For younger students, I recommend starting with 30 to 45 minute lessons. For secondary school pupils and upwards, I would suggest an hour, especially if the student is looking to work towards any grades or exams. If you are interested, I would love to hear from you, and I am happy to provide lessons at your home, at my home or online. I am DBS checked and I work with children on a daily basis, so I am very comfortable in a teaching environment
