About Georgia C.

Georgia is a diverse musician with experience working in professional choirs, with ensembles, opera productions, as a soloist, as a creative director, and in theatre. She has recently performed in RNCM’s 2021 Opera Scenes as ‘Euridice’ from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice and featured as ‘Frantik’ and ‘The Cricket’ in RNCM’s 2020 production of The Cunning Little Vixen. Georgia is a final-year vocal student at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM). RNCM is a leading international conservatoire with a prestigious vocal and opera department.

Georgia’s previous performance highlights include winning the St Andrews’ Soloist Competition in 2019, appearing as a soloist in the St Andrews’ Voices Festival, recording for the BBC’s Christmas Special Mimi and the Dragon with the Halle Choir and working with Anna Meredith at the BBC First Night of the Proms with the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.

Georgia offers:
- 1-1 singing lessons
- Sight-singing lessons
- Repertoire/Performance coaching

Georgia's teaching is suitable for anyone, regardless of skill level. She is a passionate and enthusiastic tutor who aims not only to support her students in their chosen field, but to also support their growth as well-rounded musicians.

Georgia provides in-depth personalised tutelage to:
- Healthily develop her student’s voices
- Expand her student’s repertoire (knowledge of different pieces)
- Encourage a love of music and singing in her students
- Increase her student’s overall musicianship

Genre:
Georgia specialises in classical vocal technique and opera. However, her teaching also benefits pop, jazz, and musical theatre singers by establishing a healthy vocal foundation to ensure a strong and sustainable sound. Georgia is used to working in a wide range of genres - it's most important that you love what you are singing!

First Lesson:
A first lesson typically starts with a conversation about what you want to achieve through your lessons. You will then make a plan together and get started!

There will typically be around 20-25 minutes of warm-ups so Georgia can get a good understanding of your voice and help with its natural development. Then you will typically work on some pieces for the second half of the lesson together. Georgia is open to students bringing their own repertoire, however, she will also provide you with pieces tailored to your voice's development.

Beginners:
For your first lesson, just bring yourself and, if you have one, a piece you like to sing. Having a first singing lesson can get nerves bubbling but please don't worry! Lessons are there to help you and Georgia is on your side. She won't make you do anything you're uncomfortable with and her lessons move at your pace and match your learning style. If you have any questions please get in touch to ask!

Please get in contact if you have any questions!
