I started learning the cello as an adult learner at the start of 2023, and I’ve been hugely lucky that Gemma accepted me as a one of her students. Since then I’ve felt benefitted enormously from her of her positive and encouraging teaching. Not only has Gemma always adapted our lessons to not only the stresses and strains of someone who works full-time, but also the pace I’m able to learn at. She adapts her teaching methods to suit each individual's learning style; motivating and fun, her lessons are tailored to ensure that every student reaches their full potential. Learning the cello has, for me, been a hugely enjoyable and fulfilling part of my life. Gemma is a fantastic teacher! I started playing the cello after some 30 years and was rather apprehensive about it all since I'd forgotten pretty much everything.
