Fiona teaches Piano and Violin up to and beyond Grade 8 and enters pupils for ABRSM exams . She uses a vast range of teaching material and with young beginners considers which books are suited to their needs.
Fiona’s teaching style is essentially holistic- very much geared towards the individual . Each pupils needs and musical interests are considered and repertoire is chosen accordingly. She has experience with teaching children with special needs and has taught visually impaired children, entering them for ABRSM examinations.
Fiona enters pupils for both Face to Face and Performance exams and is happy to accompany violinists for examinations.
Fiona happily teaches theory up to Grade 5 and beyond and integrates the theoretical aspect of music into her lessons.
