About Felix

Felix Elliott is a versatile and experienced musician with a positive, encouraging approach to teaching.

A graduate of Cambridge University (BA Hons.) and the Royal Academy of Music (MA with Distinction in Musical Direction and Coaching; LRAM), Felix teaches in person or online. He believes that understanding the language of music is crucial to playing it and is keen to teach students how to read sheet music and understand the theory. His lessons will centre around the student's individual aspirations, whether these are exam-focused or otherwise: music is a personal journey, and Felix's lessons will maintain an open dialogue about the student's goals, progress and concerns.

Felix is also a skilled organist: currently organist of URC Kensington, his previous posts include organ scholar of Girton College, Cambridge and St Mary Magdalene, Richmond, and he has experience working with children as Children's Choir Accompanist of St Andrew and St Mark, Surbiton. With an avid interest in musical theatre composition, he staged his own creation The Herb Garden in Cambridge's Corpus Playroom, and co-composed the five-star rated Antigone: the Musical (Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2022).
