*In person lessons at my house or online lessons via Zoom both welcome*
I teach for the local music service and private schools during the week, and enjoy teaching privately at home in my spare time. I can accommodate lessons throughout the week in the gaps between schools (which may be morning or afternoon) and also in the evening and on Saturdays.

All ages and abilities welcome. My youngest pupils tend to be in year 2 at primary school and I have plenty of retired students, some of whom pick up an instrument for the first time in their seventies or eighties!
A graduate from the university of Salford with a First Class hons degree in music and a Masters degree in music performance.
I have been teaching privately for 18 years and at the Salford Music and Performing Arts Service for 15 years.
I also have a 100% pass rate for Trinity and ABRSM exams.
Member of the Musician's Union therefore fully insured.
NSPCC Child Protection Awareness in Music course completed.
Up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training completed
I prefer to teach on a one to one basis as I believe that time spent focusing on the needs of one student alone is more beneficial than dividing time between several students who will typically have very different requirements. I am also a firm believer in teaching the student how to teach themselves in order to give them the skills they require to practise effectively. I enjoy giving the student a rounded musical education - I.e. listening examples, music history information and music theory practise which I find to be more rewarding to the overall learning of an instrument.
