About Enrique S.
Enrique is passionate about helping his students to fulfil their potential and develop a deep enjoyment of music. He has taught professionally since 2015, when he took up the position of Violin and Viola Teacher for the Music Service at Bird College, the lead organisation of Bexley Music Education Hub. In this role, Enrique has been teaching students between the ages of 6-18 years, delivering individual and group instrumental lessons on behalf of the Music Service. In addition, Enrique is the conductor and director of the Intermediate Strings, where he leads rehearsals and regular concerts for an ensemble of young string players, aged between 8 and 11.
Enrique is extremely passionate about music education and has different teaching positions around London at Bexley Music Academy (new Bird College), Cañada Blanch Music Academy and SMMA. In his violin, viola, piano for beginners, chamber music and music theory lessons, Enrique encourages all of his pupils with energy and positivity. He has a wide experience teaching students from beginner to diploma and professional level, including all levels of ABRSM and Trinity exams. He combines his teaching life with external chamber music and orchestral activities, being an active violin and viola player of the Navarra Symphony Orchestra from 2020 to the present day and performing in different countries around the world, such as Spain, Belgium, Italy, the UK and South Korea.
In his academic life and after receiving his BMUS (hons) from the Conservatoire of Seville in Spain with Distinction, Enrique studied a Master of Music in violin performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London in 2012, whilst studying with Mateja Marinkovic and finished in 2014. In 2015, he obtained Distinction on his Postgraduate Artist Diploma at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. During this year, he co-founded the Isbilia Quartet with Rosalía López, an awarded string quartet in London working together from 2015.
Enrique is an outstanding musician and an excellent role model for his students. His commitment and dedication to his teaching are exemplary. He is trustworthy and conscientious, with an excellent work ethos, transmitting a true love for music to all of his students.
