I'm a nervous beginner and Emma has been very encouraging and already helped me to feel more confident. She started to help me learn to sight read from day 1 and has been very patient with some of the things I find difficult. I'm really glad I took the plunge to book some lessons!

Emma is a fantastic teacher. I was so nervous at the first session but her warmth and kindness immediately made me feel at ease. She has such an ability to bring out the best in the student. I learnt so much, and above and beyond learning to sing better, I now have a far better understanding of choral singing. Highly recommended.

Emma is a really effective teacher who gave me some excellent suggestions on songs and techniques to work on in order to improve my voice. Early days at the moment but each week I gain a little more confidence and skill and I also like the fact that she intuitively chose some great songs for us to work on. I thoroughly recommend booking lessons with Emma.

Emma is such a great teacher. I always look forward to my lessons with her! She is so calm and really helps with my nerves. I always leave every lesson with a clear idea of what I’m working on that week. And my absolute favourite thing is that she always believes in me and never makes me feel like I can’t do it- which makes such a HUGE difference to my own confidence!

Working with Emma has improved my singing technique and range as well my understanding of music theory and skills in harmony. Emma uses her extensive experience and education in music to teach, develop and inspire singers and I have been able to apply these skills as a soloist, choral singer and musical theatre performer. Emma is passionate in her understanding of musicality and the ability to emote narrative through song,. This combined skillset makes Emma an excellent singing teacher.

I met Emma when I joined a new choir she set up pre COVID having not sung for about 30 years. I was so inspired by her knowledge and passion for music I decided to take singing lessons. As a result of her teaching ability I was able to increased my range and recently moved from Alto to Soprano II. She is really a wonderful teacher, very patient and exceptional at her profession.
