About Elise

Elise Pang was born in Hong Kong, she began learning the piano under the tutelage of Ms. Shirley Ip at the age of six. After the secondary education, she entered the Hong Kong Baptist University to study music. Elise chose piano performance as her concentration, under the guidance of Dr. Helen Cha and Ms. Nancy Loo. Besides her studies, Elise also took part in different choirs and wind band. She was a member of the Hong Kong Baptist University Choir, Hong Kong Baptist University Women’s Choir and Christian Choir, as well as the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Band. She also enjoys taking part in many festivals, performances and competitions.

After her studies at the HKBU, Elise went to the Royal Northern College of Music to study piano accompaniment with Dr. David Jones. Elise graduated from the RNCM in June 2015. During her stay at the RNCM, she participated in the Day of song organised by the college as an accompanist. At the RNCM, through participating in masterclasses and recital classes, Elise has received tuition from Julius Drake, Jeremy Young, Helen Krizos, Richard Ormrod and SallyAnn Macleod. During Elise’s studies at the RNCM, she received The W Holmes & Saville Prizes for Lieder from the college in 2014-2015.

After returning to Hong Kong in 2015, Elise was a full-time music teacher at the Hong Kong Pui Oi School and later on as a part-time music teacher at the Diocesan Girls' Junior School, as well as a piano teacher and accompanist.

Elise is currently located in Manchester and she is a full-time piano tutor and piano accompanist. Elise is keen on instructing students in piano playing. She is a piano teacher who excels at helping students find joy in music. She creates a positive learning environment and tailors lessons to individual interests. Elise encourages exploration of different genres and incorporates creativity into her teaching. Her approach fosters a lifelong love for music in her students.
