About Ed
I am a professional Record Producer with over 15 years experience. I have a passion for studio recording, mixing, mastering, composition, programming, editing and tutoring. I have engineered on albums in the UK Album Chart Top 10, composed, produced and mixed songs used in popular TV programmes and tutored beginner, intermediate and established professional producers.
I tailor lessons to your individual goals. That might be; learning how to write and produce songs to radio or broadcast standards; recording and mixing your band or solo project or additional support for getting top grades in GCSE, A-Level, Bachelors and Graduate curriculums.
I use screen sharing and a high resolution audio stream to teach you industry standard techniques in real time. In lessons you can use your own music, or we can use music I have produced professionally, either released or in progress. This is an invaluable tool in developing your critical ear and you acquiring the skills necessary to problem solve and get your music to sound professional.
I can take you from the basics of understanding the frequency spectrum or plugging in a mic all the way through to advanced mixing and mastering techniques. Music is supposed to be fun and my main goal is to help you understand the technology we use so well you no longer get stuck. This way you can finish more music and have it sound as good as the pros.
