About Duncan
I am very active as a performer mainly working in the jazz genre. I perform regularly around the UK and beyond. With my own projects I have performed all over the world from Rochester Jazz Festival in New York to Shanghai Jazz Festival to Ronnie Scotts Jazz Club to opening for Joshua Redman at the Barbican Concert Hall.
Teaching has always been an important part of my career having held a visiting tutor position at Trinity College of Music as well as being a saxophone and recorder teacher at Kew Music Service. I also ran a jazz workshop at the Hideaway Jazz Club in Streatham every Monday for 8 years.
I have released multiple albums under my own name and was also the youngest recipient of the Spike Robinson Saxophone Award. My album ‘Scenes and Sounds’ with contemporary band Partikel was nominated in the ‘album of the year’ category at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards.
