Virtuoso Composer-Pianist.
With a pioneering portfolio of internationally published/recorded works for solo piano to her name, Dr Tanya Ekanayaka is an award winning and internationally acclaimed contemporary virtuoso composer-pianist with advanced specialisms in classical, folk and world music, composing exclusively for solo piano and performing her own music, as well as being a scholar.
Aside from her primary work as an international composer-pianist, recording artiste and producer, she is also a passionate educator involved in outreach and possessing over 20 years of experience teaching and conducting recital/performance seminars in universities in (South & East) Asia, Europe and North America, as well as devoting time to coaching privately, a select group of (both advanced and young) students.
