Derek has been an exceptional music teacher at many different organisations especially the ‘Bluecoats’ for the past 10+ years. Throughout his time there, Derek has demonstrated an outstanding ability to engage students and foster a love for music. He possess a deep knowledge of various musical genres and teaching methods, which he skill-fully adapts to meet the diverse needs of his students. Derek has a remarkable talent for creating a positive and inclusive environment.

Having known and worked with Derek on many youth music related projects over a number of years I have no doubt that Derek is an outstanding educator in his chosen field. Derek is an attentive, well manned, caring and motivational teacher.
