Reviews of Derek

ReferenceI highly recommend Derek to Music teacher UK. He is a deeply thoughtful, highly experienced musician, composer, songwriter and communicator. He would, doubtless, be an inspiring teacher to many aspiring young - and not so young - musicians.

ReferenceDerek has tutored on our postgraduate music degrees since 2024, giving one-to-one tutorials and marking students' composition work. Their feedback is detailed and thorough, and it makes clear what is working and what the student needs to improve. As a trusted and reliable member of the team, they also run our monthly mental health session for students.
