I've played the violin in amateur orchestras for many years, but haven't had a violin lesson since I was a teenager. I recently decided to start violin lessons again to try and fix some of my bad playing habits. As you can imagine, I was a bit apprehensive, but Debbie put me at my ease straight away. I want to focus on improving my technique, especially my bowing technique, and Debbie is helping me to work through exercises, scales, and studies to do this. I'm also learning a couple of pieces, and Debbie is giving me great advice on how to play them more musically and expressively. I would definitely recommend Debbie!

Debbie is a wonderfully thoughtful teacher. She draws on her experience as a working musician who truly lives and breathes music. She explains complex techniques so clearly that they just click, and tailors her approach perfectly to what I could actually achieve in the lesson. As an adult beginner with a musical background, she got me to a solid standard in under a year. Beyond her expertise, she's warm, funny, and genuinely interesting, making every lesson something to look forward to. I can't recommend her enough for anyone playing a string instrument at any level.
