About Dawid

Dawid Frydryk, a Polish trumpeter, composer, and educator, captivated by classical music early on, transitioned from piano to trumpet, earning a Master’s Degree in jazz from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music. His diverse journey includes collaborations with renowned Polish bands, active participation in jazz scenes, and the founding of the 'Art of Improvisation' project in 2011-2012. Dawid has also contributed to the musical ambiance of the Polish TV show 'Bar.'

Now based in London, Dawid collaborated with distinguished musicians such as Louis Moholo, John Edwards, Mark Sanders, Steve Noble, and Asaf Sirkis. His eclectic discography, ranging from the Quartet 'Dial' to the Psychedelic Sudanese band 'The Scorpios,' showcases his versatility. As a session musician, he immerses himself in various projects, touring extensively across the UK and Europe, gracing stages at festivals like Womad and Le Guess Who?, and performing at prestigious venues such as the Southbank Centre, Jazz Cafe, Mojo (Denmark), Recyclart (Belgium), Radio Cluj (Romania), and the National Philharmonic (Warsaw).

Beyond his role as a musician, Dawid shares his expertise as a piano and trumpet teacher, serving as a private tutor for over 15 years. This commitment underscores his dedication to nurturing the next generation of musicians, imparting not only musical skills but also a deep passion for the art
