- A chat with the student (and parents if applicable). He will ask about musical experience, the reasons you've decided to start lessons and what music you like.
- If you're not a beginner, he would love to hear you play something you know so he can assess your level. (Feel free to prepare a short piece of music!)
- Some musical games and some easy playing using the black notes only!
- Daniel may ask you to sight read a simple bit of music so he can see what level your sight reading is.
- Some basic teaching of concepts based on your level.
- You'll receive a note book to keep a track of our work and any practice tips from the lesson.
- Finally, you'll discuss how you're going to move forward and make sure everybody is happy with the plan!
