About Dan

Quality instrument lessons from a professional musician, in a friendly and engaging environment.

Hi, I'm Dan and I enjoy teaching the saxophone to students of all ages and abilities. Since graduating from the RNCM, I have been a freelance musician, regularly performing in various bands and ensembles. Alongside performing and teaching, I also arrange music and work as a songwriter, as well as playing drums, keys and singing. I'm based in my teaching room in Manchester, and I also teach online.

A graduate of the prestigious 'Joint Course' between the Royal Northern College of Music and The University of Manchester, I particularly enjoy teaching the saxophone because of the wide range of music genres to which the instrument lends itself. My students include complete beginners, those preparing for ABRSM examinations, classical and jazz saxophonists and those with a particular interest in areas such as improvisation.
I am a member of the Musician's Union and have a DBS Enhanced Disclosure.

Having myself been taught, coached and performed alongside some of the finest musicians, I am well placed to offer a quality teaching experience which is fun, engaging and challenging. I'm always keen to get to know my student's musical interests in order to tailor our lessons so that they would achieve their individual goals.
