About Christopher
Christopher Tinker has long experience of piano and organ teaching. His pupils cover all ages, and there have been many successes in grade exams including one ABRSM Grade 8 pupil gaining the Ann Barbanell prize for the top mark in his area.
Pupils from beginner to advanced are welcome, and he has plenty of experience of entering pupils for exams not only at beginner grades, but also for Diploma exams.
He is himself an examiner both for grade exams, diploma exams, and also A level music performance. Pupils are not however required to prepare for exams, and there are those who just wish to play for the fun of it - they are just as welcome as those who prefer to move forward in their grades.
Lessons are given at a church in central Ipswich. He is recognised as encouraging, friendly, and as a highly qualified professional teacher and musician.
