I'm a professional fiddle-player with four years of teaching experience on both the traditional fiddle, classical violin and classical piano. I absolutely love teaching and find the work fun and extremely rewarding. I achieved Grade 8 distinction (ABRSM) and have over ten years’ experience playing in both traditional and classical styles. I play the fiddle with The Reel Hoosewives Ceilidh Band (available for hire across Scotland; get in touch via instagram @reelhoosewives or facebook 'The Reel Hoosewives Ceilidh Band'!) and play regularly at weddings and events, as well as at Sloans' famous Friday Night Ceilidh every week. I’ve played with ensembles including the Dundee Symphony Orchestra, NYOS and the Junior Conservatoire, and now regularly attend traditional music sessions in Glasgow after honing my skills as a fiddle-player over lockdown (a brilliant experience I’d recommend to any violinist!)

My ethos when it comes to teaching is one of positive encouragement and I believe a love of music is all it takes for anyone to progress in any instrument. I've plenty of experience teaching absolute beginners to advanced players and also offer tuition in music theory. I'm an enthusiastic and dedicated musician, and believe that positive encouragement is the best way to make progress in any instrument, and foster a love of music in general.
