Christian aims to help everyone achieve their musical goals and have fun in the process! Christian takes a student-centred approach, tailoring lessons to suit different students’ life-style and interests. Although his main personal training is in classical piano and cello, Christian is passionate about music of many different types and will help you enjoy more fully whatever music you love. Perhaps he can introduce you to some new ideas? Christian will choose methods and tuition material based on your age and interests. To get the most out of his teaching, Christian recommends a weekly lesson of at least 20 minutes for children and 30 minutes for adults. There is no short cut to proficiency and hopefully practising between lessons will be seen not only as necessary, but fun as well!

In your first lesson with him, Christian will discuss your musical interests, goals and experience so far. It is necessary to have a keyboard or a piano at home in order to make the most out of the lessons. Christian can teach online or in your home if you live fairly near-by.
If you would like Christian to travel to your home, he might make a small charge, depending on distance.

Christian has a wealth of teaching experience with individuals, small groups and classes of all ages from 5 years old to adults. He is happy to teach beginners up to advanced players and has done so for many years. Christian has teaching qualifications in both piano and cello and also class teaching.

Christian studied at the Royal College of Music in London and then went on to have a career as a teacher and piano performer. He has coached singers for performances in opera, musicals and concerts and prepared instrumental students for exams and public performances.
Christian has always enjoyed performing chamber music himself and has played in groups and with individuals in recitals and concerts.
