Chris is a passionate and dedicated low brass musician and educator based in Stirling, with over 10 years of experience with brass instruments. Specialising in brass instruments, primarily euphonium, Chris has performed in some of the premier concert halls in the UK and Europe as part of various ensembles, ranging from symphony orchestras (such as the Royal Scottish National Orchestra) to some of the top brass bands in the UK. Chris has also completed session work with Clockwork Sessions. As a soloist, Chris has staged a number of solo recitals, including the opening concert of the 2019 Fringe of Gold Brass Festival in St. Andrews, as well as being called on to give the Scottish Premiere of Paul Mealor's Euphonium Concerto in 2019 with the University of St Andrews Symphony Orchestra. Chris regularly performs as a soloist across Scotland and the UK. Since 2016, he has held the position of principal Euphonium of The Cooperation Band in Glasgow. Through years of dedication and collaboration with top musicians, Chris has cultivated a strong musicianship that reflects his expertise and commitment to the field.
