At Modern Way Piano, lessons are designed with a modern approach and focus on giving students a well-rounded understanding of the piano so they can express themselves with confidence and creativity.
My musical experience has taught me that in order to succeed, one must play from the heart. And for my students to succeed, teaching must also come from the heart. I combine discipline with love, fun with high standards and I care deeply about my students' progress.
A bit about me:
I have taught students of all ages from beginner’s level to grade 8. While classical music is my strong suit, I always adapt my teaching style to cater to students’ aspirations. For students wishing to play modern / pop songs, I combine note reading with improvisation and ear training exercises depending on students’ inclinations and proficiency. Ultimately, my purpose is to equip students with a solid skillset that will allow them to express themselves through piano.
What will our lessons be like?
Lessons are paired with comprehensive toolkits to support and accelerate your progress:
1. Personalized Learning Roadmaps: Custom plans for your first 6 and 12 months, aligned with your goals, musical tastes, and learning pace.
2. Practice Toolkit: A set of resources and strategies to help you practice effectively and make consistent progress between lessons.
3. Specialized Skill-Building Courses: Focused modules on technique, rhythm mastery, and ear training to strengthen core musicianship.
4. Extensive Repertoire Library: Access to a curated collection of pieces across diverse genres and levels.
Students who wish to take part in ABRSM and Trinity exams will be trained and enrolled with my support.
Lessons range from 30 to 60 minutes depending on students' levels.
