About Cesca Grace

Overview
Cesca’s lessons are engaging, accessible and fun, creating a space where students are free to make mistakes, experiment and challenge themselves without judgement. The lessons are tailored to the interests of the student, whether that be taking grades, learning their favourite songs, or fine-tuning techniques. Cesca has taught students from 10 years old to 60, and specialises in musical theatre, jazz, and free improvisation. She is also able to offer guidance in audition prep, self-tapes, drama school applications and overcoming vocal trauma. To compliment her teaching, Cesca also works with students to develop achievable and effective practice routines which empower them to take ownership over their unique vocal development and journey.

The First Lesson
The focus of the first lesson will be getting to know each other, you’ll have a chat about your favourite artists, hobbies, experience to date and goals for the lessons. This allows Cesca to ensure that you are getting the most out of the lessons moving forwards. If you’ve never had a singing lesson before, don’t worry! You’ll have a sing through some fun songs and spend time exploring your voice and the basics of singing. More experienced students will be asked to bring a song to the session that they have worked on previously, to enable Cesca to assess their current abilities and vocal style. For students under the age of 13, a weekly, 30-minute lesson is ideal. For older students, the full hour is recommended. Cesca is willing to travel up to 5km for a lesson, or students are welcome to come to her house where she has a keyboard.
