About Cerys E
Cerys is a qualified teacher, holding a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) with QTS in primary education. From September 2022, she studies Musicology at Masters level. Also, she works for the local music service as a specialist piano, keyboard and woodwind teacher.
Last year Cerys was awarded a First-class BMus(Hons) degree in music from the University of Huddersfield. She have over 13 years of experience in music and can provide tuition in Piano, Keyboard, Clarinet, conducting, Music reading and Music Theory. Whilst at university, she studied the piano with RNCM's Sally Ann Macleod. Cerys has achieved ABRSM Grade 8 standard in both piano and clarinet and ABRSM Grade 5 standard in music theory. In her free time she additionally plays the organ at a local church.
Cerys can offer tuition online or at your address. She holds a full UK driving licence. PLEASE NOTE CERYS ONLY HAS AVAILABILITY FOR ONLINE LESSONS CURRENTLY Please only request in-person lessons if within a 5-mile radius of SK6 - there will be a travel fee for in-person lessons at your address.
Cerys can teach pupils ranging from beginner to advanced level. She plans and implements individual programmes to ensure that my students enjoy their lessons, are dedicated to practice and make good progress. So far, Cerys has mentored students through both ABRSM and Trinity performance grade exams, all achieving a secure merit grade and above. Cerys has continually been commended by their parents and mature students as encouraging, warm and patient with my music tuition. Cerys always try to make my lessons fun, relevant and engaging, whether that be for exam preparation or personal enjoyment. As a university student she has flexible availability for providing tuition.
