Catriona has over fifteen years of music teaching experience with a specialism in early years music training. However, she regularly works with students of all ages in a variety of styles from classical and opera to musical theatre and folksong.

One of Catriona's other specialisms is music theory up to Grade 5. Music theory can help ALL music education. It feeds into everything and can help with exam preparation and furthering progress with ABRSM exams.

Catriona is currently a vocal coach with several regional choirs for the National Youth Choir of Scotland, has been a visiting vocal coach with Ayr Choral Union and was previously a member of staff for Lambeth Music Service. She believes strongly in music education from an early age so as to build confidence, commitment, communication and PASSION.

Outside of teaching, Catriona is a professional opera singer, having most recently been an Emerging Artist with Scottish Opera. She has previously performed with Glyndebourne Festival and Touring Opera, Garsington Festival Opera, The Grange Festival, Charles Court Opera, Opera Holland Park and English Touring Opera. Her studies were at the Royal College of Music, Royal Northern College of Music and the City of Edinburgh Music School.
