About Cathryn
I can teach a variety of brass instruments as well as piano and recorder.
About me:
I am a graduate of the Guildhall School where I spent 4 years getting my bachelor's degree in French Horn performance. I have lots of history with brass bands where I was able to play many other brass instruments and gain experience with how each one works. I also went to Chatham's School of Music where I studied recorder and piano to a very high standard. I have experience with teaching people from young children to older generations and I believe that music lessons are about having fun and being able to learn how to play music with others!
Lessons:
I believe lesson plans, goals and individual tailoring are the key to ensuring lessons are productive and fun so you can get the most out of lessons. Expect lessons to be challenging but also very rewarding in terms of progress. We can also take the lessons at a steady pace if a more relaxed approach is desired.
First Lesson:
All levels of experience are okay, I have no expectations for anyone to be at a certain level before the lesson. We can figure out what your goals/aims are and what you wish to achieve from the lessons and make a plan for the future. We can also assess what standard you are currently and where you would like to be.
Location:
I can teach at my house in Central London and I am able to Travel to your house depending on the location if it is easier.
