A graduate of the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music, Carwyn combines formal academic training with a wealth of real-world experience, bringing a well-rounded approach to his lessons. Skilled in genres from rock and jazz to funk and blues, he adapts his teaching to suit each student’s unique goals and musical tastes, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. Your first lesson with Carwyn will begin with a friendly consultation and assessment to understand your musical background, goals, and current skill level. Performance Experience

Throughout his career, Carwyn has performed with various bands and ensembles, including Rose Oleria, Luson, The Jazz Stats Big Band, and more. Performing at venues such as The Brangwyn Hall (Swansea), Victoria Hall (Bolton), FAC251 (Manchester), and Band On The Wall (Manchester) alongside many others. This extensive live and studio experience allows him to teach practical skills, including groove, timing, improvisation, and stage presence. With a background in recording and session work, Carwyn also provides insights into adapting to the studio environment and mastering the recording process.
