About Carl
Carl studied violin at the Royal College of Music, London, graduating with violin diplomas in Teaching, Performance and Advanced Performance. On leaving college he began playing with many professional orchestras including the Orchestra of English National Ballet (the English National Ballet Philharmonic), BBC Philharmonic, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Opera North, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Ulster Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Ballet Orchestra and many others. Foreign Tours have included playing in Belgium, Spain, Ireland, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia. Alongside this work he has enjoyed teaching many pupils privately and in schools.

Lessons include all aspects of violin playing, technique, reading of music, aural training, sight reading and music theory.

Carl teaches violin to both adults and children, including all Grade Exams and to Diploma level. Whatever your age and ambitions, exams or no exams, he will structure lessons to meet your aims and goals. All of his pupils who have entered violin and music theory exams have passed, many with merits and distinctions.

Carl teaches Music Theory to those wishing to pass their Grade 5 Theory to progress on to their practical exams 6,7 and 8.
