About Camille
Camille is an experienced Violin player with a background of 15 years of private musical education in the south of France where she received the expertise of both Mr Papavrami and Mr Zorin. She has entered the french school Pierre Rode when she was 5 years old where she started her full-time musical education, that was then carried out alongside her pharmaceutical studies in a private setting with the two Professors. She has attended various masterclasses of international renown entitled "Rencontres internationales de musique en graves" where she participated in the Chamber orchestra as well as performed in duets and quartets in the Castles of the Graves region. As part of these masterclasses she also started giving private lessons to younger students during the spring and summer sessions.
The teaching model that she was taught during the first 10 years of her core musical practice was focused on developing the ability of the students to critically listen and teach each other, which helped her develop her teaching abilities and pedagogic skills. She later on pursued violin tutoring with students starting violin in a private setting, and extended her teaching skills to tutoring students in the medical field.
Most of her education focused on classical music which allowed her to build solid performance foundations and technique, facilitating the accessibility to other genres that she played during her years as part of the OCBG (Chamber orchestra of Bordeaux gironde) directed by Mr Michel Moureau. She has alongside her violin practice, obtained the highest musical theory diploma that the french musical academy offers.
Her teaching is student-centered, to adjust to the needs of each student. It will involve different plans depending on the requests such as: introduction to violin playing, strengthening of some areas such as musical accuracy, speed, rhythm, support with personal work and schedule, work on special tracks (can be focused on technique or expression), tips to prepare exams and stress management techniques.
For information regarding the first lesson it is best to organize a meeting to discuss what the needs and areas to focus on are, to conduct an initial assessment of the student level, and other modalities such as in person/online teaching, frequency of lessons etc.
