Learning a new instrument and playing music is one of the best decisions you can ever make, no matter your age!
Bill Hamilton is a professional guitarist and composer that has been playing guitar for nearly two decades, offering personalised lessons from 2020. Bill specialises in teaching acoustic, electric and classical guitar – covering a wide variety of genres including classical, rock, blues and popular music. With a BA in Music & Sonic Media and an MA in Composition for Film and Television Bill draws from a wide range of knowledge and experience.
Bill is a patient and friendly teacher who ensures his lessons are informative and most importantly, enjoyable. Whether students want to progress with graded exams or simply play for fun, Bill teaches students from complete beginner to an advanced level. Alongside the core basics of guitar playing Bill also teaches music theory and tablature, covering everything from playing open chord to sight reading.
Offering a free half-hour introduction to guitar, Bill offers the opportunity of getting to know the student and their musical aspirations. It is important to discover the student’s preferences to ensure lessons are tailored to their tastes and musical goals. Parents are welcome to accompany their children throughout their learning journey.
