About Benjamin

If you’re looking for a fun, energetic, patient, professional music tutor then Benjamin is an ideal teacher for you. Having received a Distinction in his MMus Instrumental Performance (Violin) from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire along with a BA (Hons) in Mathematics and Music from Royal Holloway, University of London, he is a highly trained and accomplished musician. Benjamin has been classically trained from a young age, starting the piano at age 5 and Violin aged 7. Benjamin has several years’ experience of personal training in addition to teaching experience. As a violinist, he has had the privilege of performing alongside orchestras such as the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, London Mozart Players and is a previous member of the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, giving him the opportunity to perform in major concert halls across the UK. Having specifically chosen teaching modules as part of his Master’s degree, he has developed a teaching method that encompasses numerous styles of teaching, with the sole aim of developing whole-rounded musicians, not instrumentalists. Benjamin also currently works for a music service teaching over 40 students stringed instruments and is a volunteer teacher with the ARCO Project, providing free online violin lessons to children and young adults in Soweto, South Africa and Chennai, India.

As a passionate musician, Benjamin’s aim is to share these passions with his students by providing an environment where students can fulfil their potential. Understanding that each student is different, he can adapt lessons to each student so that each lesson is unique and tailor-made to suit their needs.
