Ben is a South-East London based drum teacher with 10+ years of experience teaching anywhere from age 6 to 60, Beginner-Advanced level. An accomplished player too, Ben's played numerous corporate functions across the UK, is currently gigging with his originals band Borderlines and has also been contracted to a cruise company as an orchestra musician.

What can you expect from a lesson with Ben? He's passionate about seeing each and everyone of his students grow in their playing and self-confidence, but always makes sure the lessons are enjoyable- this is the key ingredient to progress. Furthering stylistic awareness, technical ability and musiciality are all very important, but there are numerous ways of achieving this:

-Studying for Trinity or Rockschool grades

-Learning some of the students favourite songs;

-Studying different aspects of technique on a pad

-Or just jamming out!!

Essentially, it depends on the students objectives, and Ben can tailor a plan accordingly in the first lesson.

Many of Ben's students have gone on to achieve distinction or merit in Trinity Classical/Jazz, Trinity Rock and Pop and also Rockschool examinations, and he firmly believes that with the right attitude, any student can achieve these grades.

Ben offers online and in-person lessons too. In-person lessons are currently limited to house visits due to ongoing work at his studio space.
