About Ben
I am a clarinettist, composer, arranger, and educator working regularly in orchestral, chamber music and contemporary music around London and across the UK. I have over 10 years of experience, teaching and engaging people of all ages and abilities, whether it be 1:1 lessons, community workshops, early years or whole class learning.
Alongside my private teaching practice, I currently work as:
- Clarinet Teacher at Junior Trinity
- Tutor at Lewisham music centre
- Roundabout Tutor at Blackheath Conservatoire
- Tutor at Tower Hamlets Arts & Music Education Service
For me, music is about having fun alongside the excitement of learning new things. Progress is an important aspect of each lesson and I challenge pupils to push them to be the best musician they can be, whilst taking each pupil's strengths, needs, and weaknesses into account. As a teacher I provide a tailored learning experience for you, whether you want tuition through ABRSM/TCL grade syllabuses or any piece you wish to learn just for fun.
I can teach up to Grade 8 theory and provide aural/listening training. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me!
