About Ben Winfield
Every lesson will be tailored to your ability and your goals, whether you are an intermediate guitarist looking to get better at soloing or a beginner piano player taking your first steps on you musical journey.
As well as learning rhythm, melody and technique, you will be encouraged to use your ears to explore these elements in music your are familiar with and music you are not familiar with. Learning to develop your aural skills will allow you to more easily play with other musicians and learn new concepts much quicker.
I have helped many people take and pass music exams from grade 1 right up to grade 5 in both the ABRSM and Trinity exam boards with 1/3 of students achieving a merit or higher.
I take pupils from year 3 at primary school right the way through to adults and retirees. You are never too late to start learning an instrument and I will do everything I can to help facilitate that.
