Teaching style

Not only does she enjoy the vocal progress in her students but also the inevitable growth in confidence within themselves as well as in the passion for music. Beatrice believes that tension, nerves and stress affects vocal progression more than poor technique and so strives to create a relaxed and friendly environment where students feel they can experiment and make mistakes without fear of reprimand from either themselves or the teacher. Beatrice's lessons focus on breathing, posture and vocal technique. A lesson will generally start with breathing exercises followed by warm-ups and work on technique and then move onto pieces. Work on a songs will include learning the notes, applying technique, musicality and finally performance. Beatrice teaches a classical foundation which can be applied to all genres of singing.
