About Anya Muston
*ONLINE & IN MANCHESTER* Anya is a professional orchestral Violinist, currently a member of the BBC Philharmonic. Originally from Australia, Anya moved to Manchester in 2007 for postgraduate study at the RNCM. Anya believes very strongly in the importance of musical education and it's benefits in so many aspects of our lives! She also believe that it should be fun!
Anya teaches violin at all ages and levels. Lessons will be tailored to suit individual students needs. Where one student may thrive by having an exam as a goal, other students may work better by trying to learn a favourite piece. I will concentrate on the foundations of Violin technique (having good posture and bow hold, producing a good sound, accurate intonation and a good sense of rhythm) as well as nurturing a love of music and a sense of individual musicality.
Anya specialises in teaching Classical style violin playing.
In a first lesson, Anya will chat with you about your aims and experience and come up with a plan for lessons that suits everyone - as well as playing of course!
