About Andrew Dickinson BMus(RCM)Hons, ARCM, P.G.GSMD
Andrew is a professional musician and teacher of 26 years. Now based in Manchester.
He has worked in all genres of music from classic to pop, having worked with various orchestras including BBC Philharmonic, Liverpool Philharmonic, Opera North, Northern Sinfonia, to name but a few. His more commercial work consists of various musical theatre productions all over the world and touring with George Michael on his last 2 tours.
During this time he has taught only privately due to extensive playing commitments, which has given him the opportunity to pass along practical and musical advice and experience gained over his professional career, giving him the perspective of teaching new students correctly from the beginning of their musical journey. He tailors the lessons according to the students needs and wants. Be that playing for fun to wanting to enter the world of professional music making. Regardless, he prides himself on making lessons engaging and fun.
He is happy to teach at my home as well as the students, depending upon their preference, and location.
