About Andras L. B.
András has been working as a musician for over 15 years. He has had a passion for music since a young age and started studying at age 10. He was later accepted at the Egressy Béni conservatoire in Budapest, where he was taught jazz and classical music theory, improvisation and composition by some of the most renowned musicians in Hungary, such as Bela “Szakcsi” Lakatos Jr and Csaba Tuzko. After moving to the UK, András graduated with first class honours in Jazz at Middlesex University after which he was offered a scholarship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he completed the Master of Music course in 2021.
András has been working as a private music tutor for over 10 years. His passion for different styles of music, music theory and his excellent communication skills make him an exceptional music tutor.
Teaching guitar
András teaches guitar from beginners to advanced students of all ages. Lessons can be tailored to suit the student’s goals and expectations. He has numerous exercises to improve technique and music reading skills. As a music theory enthusiast himself, he is always ready to pass on his vast knowledge in harmony and theory with fun, easy-to-understand methods. András is also keen to help you improve your improvisation and composition skills in various genres.
After your first meeting, he will set up a personalised curriculum that will include everything you would like to achieve. Your lessons with him will be structured in a way that you can reach your goals in an organised and exciting environment. He will help you systemise the notes you take during the lessons and also offers to send you a message including a brief of any new material and what to practise shortly after each lesson.
You will learn several warm up exercises, exciting scales and chords, but most importantly, many amazing songs that you can play together. András believes that the role of a tutor is not only to deepen the student’s knowledge in music but to be there as a mentor for them, ready to listen and understand if the student has something on their mind. He promises to create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere in lessons.
