About Anastasia
Anastasia's talent and experience of teaching and performance has led her to develop an effective way of inspiring her students. She encourages work, practice and discipline, while supporting students towards feeling confident and comfortable with their abilities. The goal is to find freedom to develop within any challenge, taking mistakes as a way of moving forward.
She is capable of providing very high quality teaching of violin playing, no matter if working with a beginner or an advanced player. Thanks to the variety of teaching and technique that she has encountered throughout her career in music so far.
Anastasia has recently finished a masters degree in advanced violin performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama situated in London, studying with Stephanie Gonley after having achieved a First-class honours in her bachelor degree of performance of classical violin. She came to England at the age of 12 after spending 8 years studying the violin in St. Petersburg, Russia with multiple teachers and schools including the St. Petersburg Conservatoire. As well as extensive study of solo violin, she has vast experience of chamber music and is currently professionally working with the Elvira Trio, which she founded together with the other members.
Besides mastering advanced classical techniques of violin playing and performance, Anastasia has an open minded approach to creativity; regularly working together with various contemporary artists and art forms including dance, film and recording. She is a part of a Franko-Swiss rock band as a violinist and singer, and has experience in songwriting and producing as a solo artist, and in collaboration with other musicians.
Overall, she is able to be a professional and inspiring teacher, and is a recommended musician by many.
