Amy is a double bassist based in Birmingham. She is active on the jazz scene as a performer, playing both her own originals and standard repertoire, whilst also developing her passion for teaching. She has taught in both groups and on a 1-1 basis at a variety of levels, and tailors her approach to each student; she has extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals which has furthered her ability to adapt to particular requirements.

Amy has incredible enthusiasm for teaching which greatly benefits her students, creating a supportive atmosphere for them to progress and develop their love for music. She is proficient on double bass and bass guitar to a professional standard, has highly competent keyboard skills in order to teach piano, and is a passionate lover of music theory.
