About Alice

I am a soprano & cellist, and recently completed a Music Therapy MSc at Queen Margaret University. I offer lessons that are inspirational and motivational for beginners aged 11-18 (singing) and 7-18 (cello).

I am excited to help students find their musical voice and am comfortable working in a broad range of genres, with a special interest in classical singing. In teaching, I give students clear feedback on how to develop, whilst giving encouragement to them to develop confidence.

Singing Lessons

I offer singing lessons to any students aged 11-18, who might be working towards grades 1-5.

As a singer, I have been greatly helped by using the Alexander Technique to strengthen my voice and focusing on the prominence of good posture. I integrate this into my teaching to develop the voices of each student holistically.

I studied a Music BA at the University of Southampton, majoring in classical vocal performance. Additionally, I have performed as a soloist on various occasions such as concerts and weddings and have also enjoyed being part of a number of chamber choirs.

Cello Lessons

I offer cello lessons to beginner students aged 7-18, who might be working towards grades 1-3.

Lessons will be motivational, with a focus on a solid grounding in technique, posture and musicality. My aim is inspiring a love for the instrument. Suitable repertoire for the student's level and interest can be provided.

I look forward to meeting each student as they start out on their musical journey!
