About Aisha
I’m an enthusiastic and patient violin/viola teacher and a Royal College of Music Masters graduate who makes learning music fun and inspiring.
My Teaching
I find teaching truly rewarding and really enjoy getting to know each student as an individual. By understanding their unique learning style, interests, and how they respond, I tailor my approach to suit them personally, whether they’re playing just for fun or dreaming of a music career.
I’ve been fortunate to teach a wide range of students, from very young beginners to adults. I love helping them become confident, independent learners by showing them how to practice effectively at home and encouraging them to be their own teachers.
I’m also passionate about building strong proper technique from the start, knowing it can be tricky but makes all the difference later on. Alongside that, I make sure music theory is clear and meaningful, weaving it into lessons so students really connect with the music they’re learning.

- Private students in London and Sydney
- Group lessons
- Online and in person lessons
- Broad age range from little beginners as young as 4 to adults
- Prepared students for ABRSM and AMEB Exams
- Viola tutor for West London Strings (amateur orchestra)
- String Tutor for Sydney Youth Orchestras and NSW Public Schools State Music Camps
Things we'll work on
Violin / Viola specifically:
- Develop a good tone and sound
- Intonation and playing in tune
- Develop good posture
- Left hand technique such as finger independence, strength and agility, shifting, vibrato ect
- Right arm bow technique such as string crossing, different bow strokes, articulations ect
- Technical work such as scales, arpeggios, exercises
- Pieces! Learning different styles and genres and different composers
On music in general:
- Music theory
- Aural skills and developing a musical ear
- Performance skills and developing a positive growth mindset
Performance Experience
Have performed with orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Australian Brandenburg Orchestra, Australian Youth Orchestra and LGT Young Soloists. Have performed in venues such as Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, The Concert...
