About Aidan
Since graduating with a 1st Class honours degree from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, Aidan has had the opportunity to perform throughout the UK and Europe, notably at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, as well as being featured on Jazz FM and Brooklyn Free Radio. As well as these performance opportunities, Aidan has also been a personal tutor of the guitar for 6 years, helping beginner pupils find their individual path into music and realising advanced pupils' goals of getting into music colleges.
What's On Offer:
As a specialist in Jazz/Blues guitar, but also well-versed in Rock and Classical, Aidan offers lessons ranging from absolute beginners to advanced guitarists. Beginner lessons will cover things such as the basics of guitar technique/control and will build up a core repertoire of music to develop playing. advanced lessons will delve into fluency on the fret board and applying theory during improvisation. What all lessons have in common is an individualised, enjoyable approach depending on each pupil's needs and what they want to gain from the lessons! Guitar grading is available through either RockSchool, Trinity or ABRSM.
The first lesson:
This will usually begin with a relaxed conversation about your experiences with guitar or music, whether they be your favourite things to listen to or something you'd like to play. The goal is to get to know each other so that a strong, unique lesson approach can be developed for each pupil!
