About Agnes
I am an experienced piano and keyboard teacher with over 18 years of experience as a primary school music teacher and conductor, together with 6 years of private music teaching experience in the UK. I am also currently teaching keyboard lessons in both primary and secondary schools in the UK.
I provide engaging and personalised lessons tailored to different learning styles, abilities and musical interests. My teaching approach focuses on building confidence, enjoyment and strong musical foundations from the very beginning.
Lessons available:
• 1-to-1 piano / keyboard lessons
• 2-student small group lessons (£25 per hour per student)
• Beginner-friendly lessons for children and teens
• Home tuition available (travel fee may apply depending on distance)
I have extensive experience working with children of different ages, abilities and educational backgrounds. Lessons are carefully designed according to each student’s pace, confidence and learning needs.
I have also developed a reading approach called “Piano Note Navigation”, which helps students recognise notes and locate keys more quickly without relying heavily on writing down letter names. This approach encourages students to develop keyboard awareness and sight reading skills in a more intuitive and confident way.
Small group lessons are especially suitable for siblings or friends who enjoy learning together in a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Education (Music)
• Master of Arts in Music Education
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
I believe music lessons should not only develop technique, but also creativity, confidence and a genuine enjoyment of music.
