About Adrian

Adrian was born in the northwest of England where there is a strong tradition of brass bands. Originally taught the tenor horn, he was then taught the trumpet by a colliery band cornet player and later by a leading brass musician who performed in bands around Manchester.

Adrian has played in two big bands in Kent and currently plays in the main Frome Town Band (euphonium), the Terry Hill Big Band (trumpet) and regularly plays in open mic evenings locally.

He likes all genres of music and likes to play cool jazz, swing and big band, traditional brass, occasionally rock and latin and also classical music. He is flexible with respect to what he teaches.

Adrian is happy teaching from absolute beginners to intermediate cornet/trumpet, horn and euphonium players. His aim is for students to have fun, develop a good embouchure and play with confidence and eventually develop a good tone.
