About Adam
Adam is an experienced pianist, teaching students of grade 5 and above. He holds first class degrees from Oxford University and the Royal Academy of Music.
Learning the piano is enormously rewarding, fun, and challenging too!
Adam's lessons generally follow the ABRSM syllabus, with a strong emphasis on building rounded musicianship. His students are strongly encouraged to develop fluency in sight-reading.
Adam encourages students of grade 5 level and above to study 'figured-bass'. These are simple exercises which teach harmony and counterpoint at the keyboard, forming an excellent basis for advanced study at A-level, university, and conservatoire level.
